Rally Drive Victorian Excel Presentation Night

On Monday December 15th, over Victorian 30 Excel competitors, family and friends gathered for the RallyDrive Excel Series presentation night. After a few warm up drinks and a meal, John Carney started off the night with a recap of the year, followed by a few thank you's from Col.

Pete Wrench from RallyDrive presented the trophys to Ross and Scott Allan for their 2008 series win, followed by presentations to the 2 equal second drivers, Paul Batten and Emma Cugley and second co-driver Jo Robison, together with a plaque of appreciation to our "Official Series Photographer" John Doutch who has taken many photos of all the Excel teams during the year and been very generous in posting many of them on this forum

Second placed Co driver Jo Robison who teamed up with equal second placed driver Emma Cugley who shared the driving honors with Paul Batten.

The night continued with a great chat from former Australian Rally Champion and the current VRC CRO, David Officer and his twice Australian Champion Co-Driver and wife Kate about their adventures rallying in Mini's, Galant's, Starion's, Lancers, factory Pajero's and even De Soto's (it's a long story) all over Australia, New Zealand and other parts of the Asia Pacific region. Great stories, great champions, great people and good Excel supporters.
